Weeg.org Philosophy and Terms Of UseTable of Contents
The Weeg.org PhilosophyWeeg.org is a privately owned Web site. This site is designed, developed and managed by Michael Weeg in Denver, CO USA. Mike Weeg is solely responsible for the content of this site.I bought the Weeg.org domain name in March of 2001 predominantly for the ability to have an E-Mail address that ends with @weeg.org. The .com and .net were already taken, the other alternatives were .cc, .info, .biz, etc... Needless to say, the .org sounded best to me. Every two or three years I buy it for another five years. Currently, I own the name until 2009, and I will be buying another five years in the next month or so. This is the third generation of Weeg.org. It is hosted by Zurca Hosting. I hope you like it. (Take the Do you like the site?Survey.) For a very reasonable price they give me the ability to do a lot of magic I wasn't able to do at Qwest or Yahoo. This site is best viewed with a screen resolution of 1024 X 768. If you are running at 800 X 600, it might look a little better if you hit the [F11] button on your keyboard and go full screen with it. I am using Firefox for my web browser and suggest you do the same. That is not a requirement, merely a suggestion. The site does work with Microsoft Internet Explorer (but not the Mac version). This site has not been tested with Netscape. The only real requirements for using this site are that you have good color depth (more than 256 colors) and a browser capable of frames and java. The Weeg.org E-Mail PolicyVersion 1 March, 2005There are two types of E-Mail addresses that I offer here. If you are a Weeg, you can have one or both types. If you want a Weeg.org address, E-Mail me. We'll talk, there is no charge for an account.
The Weeg.org Survey PolicyVersion 1 March, 2005All surveys are strictly confidential. No information submitted there is saved in such a manner that you can be identified as having submitted it. I do not record your IP address on submission. I do drop a cookie on submission to keep you from taking the survey too often. The contents of this cookie is a little bit of code that says something to the effect of This user took survey on [date] at [time], don't let this user take the same survey again for a couple hours. The Weeg.org Software PolicyVersion 1 March, 2005Since installing Linux as my primary operating system on my home machines, I have become a firm believer in the Open Source community. The best things in life really are free. All software running on this site is under the GNU Public License (AKA GPL) or a similar freeware license. I do my best to ensure credit is given where credit is due and provide links to the source or the originator's Web site.
